Kaokoland is located in the far northwest of Namibia, the almost remote area south of the Kunene River.

Himba people:

Kaokoland (or Kaokoveld) is the dweling place of approximately 6000 rural Himba people. They usually breed cattle and goats and live a nomadic life. Basing on the time of year, they move with their herds to various watering places.

Touring this region can be fully breathtaking, explore this area with its cultures. It is advisable you tour the region escorted by a guide. This will permiting you to get the most out of the region, as a guide will have interructions with the idigenous people, which will give you chance  to come into close interruction with the Himba people. One of the most exiciting landmarks of Kaokoland is the Epupa Falls. a number of pools at the bottom of the waterfall allow for (relatively) Crocodile free swimming.
